An intervention by Michel Colombier within the framework of a conference organised by the Association of Energy Economists (AEE).
Presentation of the conference:
"As scheduled by the on-going consultation on the Electricity Market Reform (EMR) in the United Kingdom, a White Paper is concluding debates started in December 2010. This document has just been published and results from contrasted stakeholders’ positions. [During this conference], David Newbery, Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Cambridge, and Jim Watson, Chairman of the British Institute of Energy Economics, will present an analysis of this document and make a status report of the vast and ambitious reform. [...] The President of the Association of Energy Economists (AEE) will start the conference by reminding reform’s starting point and targets. Speakers will them describe the conclusions resulting from the consultation, as well as the consequences on the UK electricity market for different stakeholders. Speakers will also speculate on EMR exemplarity on the European Commission and Member States.
The conference will be in English."
