Last December in Paris, 195 countries signed a legally binding climate agreement for the first time. What can we do today to transform these historic commitments into a real shift in national public policies?
Laurence Tubiana, Teresa Ribera and Nick Robins will analyze the Paris Agreement and discuss its implications for European climate policies and national climate policies of the major CO2 emitting countries.
The three speakers will discuss the useful tools available for public policies that can enable the transformation of this agreement into concrete and ambitious action at different scales (EU, Member States), with particular focus on funding and decarbonization pathways.
The debate will be introduced and moderated by Yann Algan, Dean of the Sciences Po School of Public Affairs.
