International Summer School "Politics of the Earth", organized by the EDGE project (Environmental Diplomacy and Geopolitics - H2020) and the Politics of the Earth programme (Université Sorbonne Paris Cité). The summer school programme features a diverse, international faculty to address five key issues of the Anthropocene: disasters, climate change, health, biodiversity and cities. These issues are brought together through cross-cutting lectures and seminars. Each day will feature lectures by renowned faculty, workshops and social activities. All sessions will be conducted in English.
 
Renaud Lapeyre and Aleksandar Rankovic will give a lecture on the politics of biodiversity issue on Thursday 8 September afternoon. 
 
A public conference with Oliver MortonThe Economist, on Geoengineering; imagining an altered planet, will be held on Thursday 8 September from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. at the Paris city hall (Hôtel de Ville). Aleksandar Rankovic will moderate the debates, and Sebastien Treyer will discuss Oliver Morton's presentation.
