REPLAY
The measures taken to address the Covid-19 pandemic will lead to a major economic and social crisis. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), 25 million jobs worldwide will be destroyed. In the face of this cataclysm, governments are multiplying measures to support businesses and households and are working on economic recovery plans. However, the responses to this crisis by governments and employers have been piecemeal, with no real consultation at European or international level. Moreover, some voices are being raised calling for a suspension of environmental regulations, in the name of economic and social emergency, without considering the opportunities offered by the ecological transition.
In this context, this webinar offers to answer three questions:
- What is the place of international cooperation in the economic and social response to the crisis?
- What roles can the economic and social partners play?
- In what way is this crisis shaking up the agendas of the various actors, particularly in terms of sustainability?
