The French experience of the Citizens' Climate Convention is an interesting one for France's European neighbours. After Spain, which has already announced that it intends to organise a similar citizens' participatory exercise, Germany is also questioning this innovative process of bringing into the public space a discussion on how to decarbonise economies and consumption in order to achieve the objectives of the Paris Climate Agreement. In order to benefit from France's lessons learnt, Sébastien Treyer presented the key points and the main results of the French Citizens' Convention and discussed their political implications during this webinar, organised by the German think tank Agora Energiewende.
