Ester Asin Martinez is a lawyer and political scientist by education, and an advocate with nearly 20 years of experience in the EU political environment.

She joined WWF as Director of the European Policy Office (EPO) in October 2018. Prior to that, Ester worked with Save the Children, CARE International and CONCORD in leadership, advocacy and resource mobilisation roles. She successfully advocated for increasing EU humanitarian funding and led NGOs coalitions to better protect the rights of migrant children. She has worked for the European Commission in West Africa, and started her career in Brussels with the European Consumers Organisation (BEUC).  

Ester is a Spanish national. She holds degrees in Spanish Law, a DEA (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies) in EU Law, and an M.A. in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.
