Lisa Dacosta ensures IDDRI runs smoothly from a financial, legal and administrative viewpoint, as well as managing human resources. She is also responsible for relations with the Foundation’s governance bodies. As a member of the executive committee, she contributes to the development and implementation of IDDRI’s strategic plan.
Before joining IDDRI, Lisa worked as programme manager for UNDP Mozambique from 2003 to 2006, on local development issues and HIV-AIDS prevention. She previously worked for the NGO Solagral, where she was in charge of coordinating a local development project in Albania as well as managing non-profit activities and promoting the NGO’s work. After her studies from 1999 to 2001, Lisa worked at the French Prime Minister’s Economic Analysis Council on the organisation of the European counterpart of the Annual World Bank Conference on Development Economics.
Lisa speaks French, English and Portuguese, and is a graduate in English and anthropology; she has a DESS (advanced postgraduate diploma) in “Social Practices of Development” from IEDES, Paris I Sorbonne.
Lisa was a board member of Oxfam France: she was its chair from 2014 to 2016.
