Doctor of environmental economics (EHESS).
A specialist in deforestation issues, Romain has worked for French research centres (CIRAD, CERDI) on forest policies. He has also worked with international organisations (World Bank, IUCN) and joined IDDRI from May 2008 to September 2013.
Romain Pirard joined CIFOR (Center for International Forestry Research) on Novembre 2013.
