"Cities account for approximately up to 70% of greenhouse gas emissions and therefore climate change action in cities is a crucial and important undertaking. Further, cities often are the interfaces of where different environmental problems converge and therefore the solutions, including financing mechanisms have to be tailored to the meet the needs of the city. In this session we will hear from different panelists that have used private financing, public financing as well as carbon finance to provide unique and effective methods of financing climate action in cities."
