Une intervention de Raphaël Billé dans le cadre du World Forum 2011 on Enterprise and the Environnement organisé par la Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment de Oxford University (Royaume-Uni).
Présentation du World Forum [en anglais]
"Valuing Ecosystem Services: From New Commitments to Strategic Action The loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services is a worldwide problem that is not under control. While progress has been made in raising awareness and mobilizing for action – including new goals, valuation tools and action strategies on a global scale – we have yet to solve the systemic causes that continue to thwart meaningful, measurable change. The raised awareness on biodiversity and remaining challenges after the Nagoya biodiversity commitments of 2010 will serve as the starting point for The World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment 2011."
L'intervention de Raphaël Billé s'inscrit dans le cadre du groupe 5, "Marine Ecosystems", de la Session 4 intitulée "Breaking Barriers".
Présentation de la session [en anglais] :
"Our ability to take action has been hindered by long-standing impasses and sensitive underlying issues. How can we cut through these Gordian Knots to achieve measurable progress? What actions can we start taking today? Delegates will tackle issues in one of five crucial areas, looking beyond statements of good intentions to focus on actionable ideas for change. Groups will discuss different issues in parallel."
