From 5 to 14 October 2008, Barcelona (Spain)
For one week, Barcelona hosted the 4th World Conservation Congress organized by IUCN.
The Congress included debates, workshops, round tables and conferences on the following three thematic fields:
- A new climate for change
- A healthy environment for prosperous populations
- Safeguarding the diversity of life
IDDRI participated in this Congress at several levels:
- Co-organization of the “Options for Advancing High Seas Governance” workshop
- Presentation by Laurence Tubiana “Meeting the 2010 biodiversity target! A contribution to poverty alleviation and to the benefits of life on Earth”
- Presentation by Raphaël Billé at the session “A vision of Nature in 2010 - and beyond”.
