As part of the Journées FRB 2016, IDDRI is collaborating with the Foundation for Research on Biodiversity (FRB) to organize this two-day event, which includes:

  • A public conference on “The power of decision makers, researchers and actors in the context of political science platforms”

This conference will take place at the Oceanographic Institute (5th Arrondissement, Paris,) from 8:45am to 5:30pm.

At this public conference, scientists will present the way in which their research has evolved to address the societal questions raised by biodiversity loss and climate change, particularly focusing on their participation in the work of the IPCC and IPBES. Public and private actors facing these major environmental issues will have the opportunity to analyze how they can participate in this research and incorporate this work in the context of their activities.

Conference programme

  • An invitational workshop will be held on 14th October, bringing together French experts participating in the IPCC and IPBES, who will share their experiences on these international platforms.
This workshop will be preceded by the submission to the Ministry for the Environment of the IPBES report on pollination, pollinators and food production.
