Workshop organized jointly by Cirad, Iddri, Cifor, the GIP Ecofor, and with the support of the Chaire Développement Durable de Sciences Po.
This workshop aims at providing information for decision-makers and negotiators in large international conventions on the environment, about the issues relative to the constitution of "an International Forest Regime through the convergence of public policies and the rise of private initiatives" and "the influence of climate change-related debates on the constitution of an International Forest Regime (will Avoided Deforestation mechanism transform public policies?)".
Two discussion themes will be put forward in this workshop:
- The place of the new orientations in public and private policies in heavily forested tropical countries?
- Creating an International Forest Regime through multilateral and private instruments.
The acts of the workshop will be published and the key presentations will be submitted to a special issue of an international journal.
Registration for this workshop, which will take place at the Auditorium of the Lycée Raspail (Paris), will be on invitation only.
