In order to strengthen cooperation between Sciences Po. and Tsinghua University (China), joint initiatives on green economy have been established. Presidents of the two universities signed a general agreement 17 November in Beijing. Under this agreement, IDDRI, Sustainable Development Chair for the Sciences Po. side; together with Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy (3E) and School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM) for the Tsinghua University side, signed a cooperation agreement which aims at piloting the Green Economy Initiatives and providing opportunities for cooperation among other centers and schools of the two universities.
A conference was held under this purpose 17 November 2014 at Tsinghua universities. The conference was opened by speeches of the presidents of the two universities : Frédéric Mion for Sciences Po, and Xie Weihe for Tsinghua University. Laurence Tubiana, founder of IDDRI and Climate Ambassador of France; Jiankun He, former Vice President of Tsinghua University, Director of 3E Institute, Vice President of China’s National Expert Committee on Climate Change, delivered key note speeches. The conference was then followed by a round table, animated by Caroline Puel, journalist of Le Point in China, with the participation of Teresa Ribera, Laurence Tubiana, Fei TENG (Professor, 3E Institute) and Ye QI (Director, Professor, SPPM).
