A workshop organised by UNEP and the European Commission during which IDDRI and IASS will present the results of their common project on the implementation challenges of the Ocean SDG.
This workshop will be held with the following objectives:
- To share lessons learnt and experiences on core elements that enable area-based management, policy interactions and institutional arrangements relevant to the implementation of Ocean-related SDGs at national and regional levels;
- To identify additional experiences that may be used for the UNEP-EC project purposes;
- To discuss factors that enable area-based management, policy interactions and institutional arrangements and barriers that prevents their adoption by national and regional bodies;
- To formulate and agree on a set of conclusions and recommendations on effective use of area-based management and policy interactions and institutional cooperation for Ocean related SDG that would be further elaborated in a form of guidance for policy-makers.
