Thomas Spencer moderates the session "Engaging the Productive Sector in the Climate Debate" as part of the round table "Partnerships for financing equitable & effective Climate Action" organised by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), in collaboration with the Economic Policy Forum (EPF).
Overview
"The roundtable in Paris is the first of a series of policy dialogues. It seeks to bring clarity into the specificities of the Paris Agreement of the Paris Agreement around the two above issues, particularly on the sources, channels, allocation, and levels of climate finance in the post-2020 world, and on how the productive sector could become an agent of change. The overarching focus will be on creating economic frameworks for a full and encompassing engagement. The roundtable aims to conduct a discussion among key members of the climate policy community in the preparatory phase of the COP21 in Paris, to formulate concrete policy ideas that can inform the existing global discourse and support policy debates, with concrete research outputs from the EPF research collaboration efforts."
