On 7/8th July 2017 the most influential industrialised and developing countries will come together in Hamburg for the G20-Summit. Leaders of the 19 largest economies and the European Union will discuss present challenges and future developments. In advance of this influential event, an unprecedented alliance of foundations and philanthropic organizations (F20) has gathered in order to further shape the political discourse on future sustainability measures before, during and after the G20-Summit. The F20-Platform is calling upon G20 member states to fully embrace the transition underway and to bring forward its implementation.
The F20-Platform will be hosting a joint high-level event.At this event, a collaborative publication, authored by IDDRI, on global decarbonisation trends, related policy recommendations and concrete examples of best policy solutions will be launched in combination with a call to action upon G20 member states. The event is hosted by all participating foundations on the F20-Platform and will take place in the Hamburg City Hall on 4th of July, 2017.
