Presentation
This publication is the outcome of the conference ‘The challenges of commodity trade. Europe - Latin America - Caribbean’, which was held in May 2023 as part of the Semaines de l'Amérique latine et des Caraïbes (SALC), and in which Sébastien Treyer took part with a presentation on “Starting from raw materials, opening a wider dialogue between Latin America and Europe on the structure of the global economic system”.
This annual meeting has been organized since 2012 by the Institut des Amériques (IdA) in partnership with the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the EU-LAC Foundation. In 2017, the Agence française de développement (AFD) joined the organising committee, becoming a key partner of this meeting.
