"This is precisely the moment when Europe needs to be strategic and work together. The question of long-term financing to support transitions is precisely an area where Europe must live up to its initial project. What is at stake is its ability to deliver the results expected in terms of its climate ambitions, for which it is eagerly awaited, particularly by the countries of the South. It also depends on its ability to put in place the practical measures in terms of industrial policies which, under a number of conditions discussed by IDDRI, will determine its long-term competitiveness and resilience."
