Carbon markets are the subject of our new episode.
We should not talk about the carbon market, about carbon markets. They are regulated or voluntary systems for trading carbon, in the form of quotas, credits or certificates. Each of these markets, based on supply and demand, operates according to its own rules, but they are increasingly interconnected. The aim is always to finance activities that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Who are the players in these markets? Are they honest in their operations (transfers and adjustments)? Is there a risk of greenwashing? How do countries do the accounting of those markets? Matthieu Wemaëre answers Sophie Larmoyer's questions.
