IDDRI's research on social contract is the subject of our new episode.
IDDRI has recently launched a new research project dedicated to studying the concept of social contract; this project was introduced in a podcast in January 2024. Today, we are presenting our work on its evolution, from its origins to the present day, before drawing lessons for tomorrow. The social contract is made up of four dimensions - work, security, consumption and democracy - the promises of which have not been fulfilled. This project is as much about philosophy and history as it is about people's lives. In this new episode of Cap sur la transition, two IDDRI research fellows, Mathieu Saujot and Marion Bet, detail this historical analysis and compare it, based on interviews, with what the French think and feel about this issue. They share their insights with Sophie Larmoyer.
