An article on the options available to address ocean acidification. From reducing atmospheric CO2 concentration to restoring degraded ecosystems, increasing the resilience of ecosystems and adapting human activities linked to the oceans, several types of action are possible; however, they vary in terms of their feasibility and their potential for results, and must be part of an appropriate legal and political framework at the local, regional and global levels.
