The report provides details information about the tourism sector in the Caribbean. Input was received from representatives across key sectors such as tourism and marine protected area management who were interviewed and a broader group of stakeholders who participated in a regional webinar to review key findings and validate policy recommendations.

It offers an overview of the blue tourism state of play in the Caribbean, the sector’s institutional and policy framework, and its main vulnerabilities and challenges of the sector. 

Special attention has been given to the role of community-based tourism in reshaping blue tourism in the Caribbean region, focusing on the policy pathways to reorient the sector towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future.
