Charlie Brocard is a research fellow on food-related issues within the "Lifestyles in Transition" programme. He works on the issues raised by the environmental transition of food systems in terms of its social and economic dimensions both households and specific stakeholders in the food system, at French and European level. His research interests include: food practices; social stratification; public policy; food environments; and how the food system works and the stakeholders are involved.
He studied political science and sociology, completing a master's degree in European Public Affairs at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (M1), and a master's degree in Environmental Policy (specialising in agriculture) at Sciences Po Paris. He has also worked for the European Commission's Environment Directorate-General on issues relating to land use (forests, soils).
