Context
Assuming its full and timely implementation, the Paris Agreement will enable to “avoid the unmanageable” but it is also important to “manage the unavoidable”, that is the ocean changes and their impacts which are inevitable.
Objectives
Led by the AMAO (Association Monegasque pour l’Acidification des Océans) and supported by IDDRI, The Ocean Solutions Initiative seeks to define the solution space. A group of international experts will assess ocean-based solutions to climate change as well as the benefits and drawbacks for the ocean of land- and atmosphere-based solutions.
