This public lecture will present, analyse and discuss key aspects of the ABS provisions of the draft Biodiversity Law of France, the EU draft ABS Regulation and the Nagoya Protocol, with a particular focus on their implications for the life sciences and for legal practitioners in the field of intellectual property or involved in transactions associated with the conclusion of R&D agreements in the context of complex regulatory regimes.
