Sustainable and Cyclical Economy of Asia

Now Asian area is becoming the World Factory. In particular, China is the center of the world production. Three factors of low price of China, (1) low labor cost, (2) low material cost, (3) low environmental cost, can make it. However, now it is very clear that China cannot achieve a sustainable development in Asia and world without solving social disparity and environmental protection. At the same time, Japan and other countries invest in China making use of low labor cost and import low price Chinese goods. It is estimated that about one fourth of CO2 emission of China is caused by export. Therefore the international trade relationship of between China and other countries, especially Japan and other Asian countries becomes very important. In this presentation I will focus on the cross-border resource cycling between China and other countries. I will point out the Chinese great impact to the demand of resource and its effect on recycling economy of Japan. At the same time, the environmental pollution caused by the recycling process in China will be discussed. I will propose the coordination of governmental level policy and cooperation of NGO, citizens.
