Une intervention de François Gemenne dans le cadre du Princeton-Fung Global Forum 2013: "The Future of the City", organisé à Shanghai (Chine) du 30 janvier au 1er février par l'université américaine de Princeton.
Présentation de la session [en anglais] :
"The images from tsunamis, typhoons and hurricanes in recent years are seared into memory: people huddling as the waters rise, boats tossed like toys, buildings plowed and smashed. Does climate change portend similar disasters with more frequent and more furious storms? Or does a more gradual, ineluctable catastrophe await cities on the water's edge? This panel will examine climate change and the ways cities can engineer a defense."
