Une intervention de Laurence Tubiana dans le cadre du Future Earth regional Workshop for Europe.
Présentation [en anglais] :
"Future Earth is a new 10-year international research initiative that will develop the knowledge needed to respond effectively to global environmental change and support transformation towards global sustainability.
The regional Future Earth workshop for Europe is one in series of altogether six workshops that have either already taken place or are currently being planned. The regional Future Earth workshops are a key arena to discuss the implementation of this major 10-year initiative that will not only reshape the global change research conducted within ICSU’s programs but also develop new partnerships with policy-makers and other stakeholders.
The European workshop’s central theme is co-design and it will focus on identifying options for implementing Future Earth in Europe within this global framework. The aim is to provide recommendations on next steps and to share best practices in creating interfaces between the global and local levels. In order to meet its objectives, the event will gather together a maximum of 130 representatives from the research community, existing GEC (global environmental change) Committees, programmes and projects, research funding organizations, policy makers, development agencies and organizations located at the science-policy interface."
