Laurence Tubiana will take part in the fifth State of the Planet Conference of the Earth Institute. This event will be held at the Columbia University (New York city) on March 27-28.
The Earth Institute at Columbia University hosts this conference every two years to stress and examine the most urgent global issues central to the profound challenges of sustainable development. The conference brings together insights from the world's most influential and innovative thinkers in a wide range of fields including academics, opinion leaders in the media, government and the policy community.
The overarching topic area of the 2008 conference will focus on seeking solutions for sustainable development.
