The sustainable development of cities and their people’s food security are some of the fundamental issues of our society. The effectiveness of their treatment will depend on our will and ability to deal with both topics at the same time, despite the complexity of their interactions.
Echoing the commitments made by French territories on sustainable food, HUNGRY CITY 2012 represents an opportunity to take a ground and comprehensive look on the complex urban food governance issue by bringing together for the first time representatives of local and regional authorities, members of the international scientific community and policy makers.
