Pierre-Marie Aubert leads the programme Agriculture and food policies. His activities focus on interactions between agricultural development, food security and biodiversity protection at three different levels: national, regional and international.
With an interdisciplinary background, at the interface between biotechnical sciences (agronomy, forestry) and political sociology, Pierre-Marie Aubert examines the sustainability of agricultural development pathways in the countries of the North and the South, combining four complementary approaches: the development, implementation and evaluation of public policy; the governance of global agricultural and agri-food chains; agricultural system dynamics; and foresight tools.
Alongside his activities at IDDRI, Pierre-Marie teaches at Sciences Po Paris, AgroParisTech and University Paris Sud. He is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Société Française d'Économie Rurale (French Society of Rural Economics).
